The technique used here is simple: when there is an heart beat, blood is sent through vessels to body extremities such as earlobes and fingertips. The camera will then capture different light intensities caused by those blood flows.
How to use? easy! touch the start button and place finger on the rear camera. The application is able to to detect whether finger is well place or not.
HR suite also offers and well designed interface that allows users to easily interact with the application while measuring with a feedback text.
It offers a navigation tab with 4 options: The measuring view, the historic view, settings and tutorial pictures of how to use the app.
The measuring View
the measuring view has the image that shows measurements updates(circle in the middle). It also has two buttons: one to set notifications and the other to manages notifications.
The Historic View
The historic view offers a calendar-based design to make it easy to store measurements for a long period of time, say years.
